Briton Riviere - “Daniel In The Lions’ Den” -1872
I love this painting because of the contrast of the extreme calm and reason in Daniel, and the raging intensity of the lions. This is a perfect example of order/disorder in many different ways, whether you looked on the morality behind the painting, or on a purely animalistic level, which I personally find the most exciting.

I’ve been channeling Daniel lately, sometimes with success.
